The Bowdon Red Devilettes fell 71–45 to No. 1-ranked Wilcox County on March 6 in the GHSA Class A Division II state semifinals, ending what coaches and fans described as a magical playoff run.

Their Final Four appearance highlighted the team’s ability to compete with the top programs in the state.
Community support and future outlook
Bowdon’s deep playoff run energized the Carroll County community, with students, alumni and fans rallying behind the Devilettes as they advanced through the state tournament.
While the season ended short of a state title, the team’s accomplishments — including a 22-win campaign, a region championship and a Final Four appearance — mark a significant chapter for Bowdon girls basketball and set a strong foundation for the program moving forward.
