MACON, Ga. — The No. 1-ranked North Paulding Wolfpack girls basketball team will play for a state title Saturday, stepping onto Georgia’s biggest high school basketball stage with the GHSA Class 6A State Championship on the line.
North Paulding will face Grayson High School at 5:30 p.m. ET on March 14 at the Macon Coliseum, where the Georgia High School Association is hosting its annual basketball championship games.
The Wolfpack advanced to the title game after defeating Campbell High School 68–54 in the state semifinals, securing their place among the final two teams competing for the Class 6A crown.
Dominant season leads to championship opportunity
North Paulding enters the championship matchup as the top-ranked team in Class 6A, capping off a season marked by strong defense, disciplined play and consistent scoring.
The Wolfpack’s semifinal victory over Campbell demonstrated the team’s depth and composure in high-pressure situations. North Paulding controlled the pace throughout the game, pulling away in the second half to secure the 14-point win and punch its ticket to Macon.
State’s biggest stage
