NORTHWEST GEORGIA — Local businessman Brian Stover has announced his campaign for Congress in Georgia’s 14th Congressional District, entering the race as what he describes as a “Pro-Trump Conservative.”

Stover, a native of northwest Georgia and a business owner, said he is running to represent the district in Washington and bring what he calls conservative values and pro-business policies to Congress. His campaign announcement outlines priorities that include support for former President Donald Trump’s political agenda, economic growth, border security and reducing federal regulations on businesses.

Georgia’s 14th Congressional District covers much of northwest Georgia, including communities in Carroll, Douglas, Haralson, Polk, Floyd and surrounding counties. The district has become one of the state’s most reliably conservative areas and is currently represented by Republican U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene.

In announcing his candidacy, Stover said his background in business and ties to the region would guide his approach if elected, emphasizing economic development, job growth and support for local industries. He said he believes the district’s residents want stronger conservative representation and policies aligned with the priorities of many Republican voters in the region.

The campaign announcement marks the beginning of Stover’s effort to organize supporters, raise campaign funds and meet with voters across the district ahead of the next congressional election cycle.

For communities across west and northwest Georgia, the race could shape how the region is represented on issues that affect local residents, including federal funding, infrastructure, agriculture and economic development.

Additional details about Stover’s campaign schedule and platform are expected to be released in the coming weeks as the election cycle progresses.
